Many congratulations to Kate Tovey, who has won a WACL Future Leaders’ award – one of 31 women to be awarded a bursary for further training.

The programme encourages talented women to reflect on and prioritise areas of their development in order to accelerate their careers and achieve their full potential. This year, the winners were selected from 230 applicants.

Kate is also a former winner of JCDecaux UK’s Peer Awards – nominated by her peers for her inspirational work for JCDecaux UK’s social impact programmes, for her leadership and for her work mentoring colleagues at JCDecaux UK.

What did you present to win this award?

An overview of my career, what drives me, what my aspirations for the future are. A big part of my story covered the past two years including the creation & inspiration behind our social impact programme Sparking Conversations, as well as making a career change at JCDecaux from pure sales through to a more strategic and transformational role and the sense of achievement this gives me.

How do you feel about winning this award?

Having worked at JCDecaux UK for my entire career, the external recognition means a huge amount. To be joining a community of such inspirational women is a total honour and privilege.

What training are you going to do?

The training will be related to business transformation and change so will be directly relevant to my role at JCDecaux UK. It may also include coaching which is an area that hugely interests me – both as a mentor and a mentee. So watch this space!
