What is airport advertising?
Airport advertising is a type of Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising that appears in and around airport spaces, with the goal of targeting passengers as they depart, arrive, and spend time shopping and relaxing.
Opportunities for airport advertising are found in several distinctive areas that all passengers travel through. Departing passengers can be engaged at the airport concourse and check-ins, all the way through to high-dwell time spaces such as duty-free and departure lounges.
Meanwhile, airport advertising campaigns can engage audiences arriving into the UK, with key opportunities available as they spend time at baggage claim and exit the terminal building.

Airport Advertising Formats
There are a range of formats included within JCDecaux's premium network of airport advertising, all designed to maximise audience reach at key points in the airport journey.
Smaller OOH advertising screens, such as Digital Airport Panels (DAPs), are found overhead in busy duty-free spaces and terminal corridors, while large-format OOH advertising sites such as Heathrow's Terminal 5 Towers & Edinburgh Airport's Digital Plaza reach audiences at scale in more open spaces, such as on the concourse and outside the terminal buildings.

Airport advertising is found at world class retail destinations
Shopping has always been synonymous with airports, where passengers are in a 'millionaire's mindset'. During the golden hour before a flight, passengers are more receptive to airport advertising, as they are more open-minded to trying new products and treating themselves.
