A mountainous challenge was tackled by a group of JCDecaux people in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

A mountainous challenge was tackled last weekend by a group of JCDecaux people. In aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, the strong team of 41 hikers embarked on a journey to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.

Following a 12-hour journey to Scotland, a dinner full of carbs and a 3am wake-up call, the team set off to begin the first peak, Ben Nevis. Misty conditions, low visibility and cold temperatures were hurdles for the team, but their spirits were not dampened, and the first summit was successfully reached.

The second peak, Scafell Pike in the Lake District was the most difficult. The team ventured up at sunset and descended in the dark, using only head torches to guide them. Despite this disadvantage, the team prevailed, and the peak was concluded.

With sore legs and tired feet, the third and final peak to conquer was Snowden in Wales. Constant encouragement and words of motivation to one another enabled the team to remain in high spirits. 23 miles and 82 sore legs later, the challenge was complete.

A true One Team effort.

Congratulations to the whole JCDecaux team for their triumphant success on completing the Three Peaks Challenge.

It's still not too late to donate. If you would like to support the team, please visit the JustGiving page here.
