We are delighted that Portrait of Britain is back for another year!

Portrait of Britain is the UK’s biggest annual photography exhibition – in collaboration with British Journal of Photography. 2022 marks the 6th year of our partnership with the British Journal of Photography, something that we are very proud of as a business as it not only transforms our screens into a nationwide exhibition, but it perfectly showcases the power of the public screen by celebrating the diversity of modern Britain.

Portrait of Britain has the unique ability to capture a moment in time, reflect society and celebrate the many faces of our communities by bringing 100 winning portraits to JCDecaux screens across the UK. The winning images will be exhibited on our digital Out-of-Home screens in January 2023 and displayed nationwide in rail stations, shopping malls, digital bus shelter screens, and beyond. Plus, for the first-time photographers will be also able to enter one portrait free of charge.

This year’s Portrait of Britain is a celebration of identity and an opportunity to rejoice in the diversity of a changing nation. Entries will be judged by a panel of key industry leaders from across the UK. The deadline for this year’s entries will be 13 September 2022. Click here for more on entering this year’s exhibition.

From Marcus Rashford MBE to John Boyega last year’s Portrait of Britain featured a host of diverse winning images, which capture a moment in time, reflect society and celebrate the many faces of our communities. Check out some of the brilliant winning images from last year’s competition below and we cannot wait to see the next round of portraits live in action on our screens!
