JCDecaux UK has won the Responsible Workplace award and was highly commended for Socially Responsible Corporate at the 2023 West London Business Awards. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 24th February 2023.
The Responsible Workplace award recognised JCDecaux UK’s strategic approach to shaping a responsible and inspiring workplace. The judges were impressed with our One Team approach (people across the business collaborating), training and personal development, the Belonging Survey (showing our people feel listened to and able to influence decisions and an inclusive place where everyone can thrive and grow), our wide range of staff benefits (including our new healthcare and supporting families in the workplace), a culture that drives success – as well as our excellent record for health, safety and wellbeing.
The Socially Responsible Corporate commendation recognised our social responsibility success over the past 3 years and how our social responsibility programme has been implemented nationally and locally in our West London operations. The judges were impressed with our support of social campaigns aiming at positive change. This included the 'Advance for Growth' initiative which was launched by JCDecaux UK in partnership with Hounslow Council and Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and allows businesses to win digital Out-of-Home space across the borough. The Community Channel was also recognised - a new programme in the UK where community-based organisations can apply for time on our public screens for not-for profit causes. It was also recognised how JCDecaux UK helped restore the historic bridge over the river Brent in Brentford as part of a project commissioned by the London Borough of Hounslow in partnership with the London Wildlife Trust, the Canal & River Trust, Holiday Inn Brentford, JCDecaux UK, Hounslow Highways, Octink and The Green School Trust.
It’s such a great accolade to be recognised by our business peers from all different sectors who are based in West London. These awards celebrate the best of business in the west of the capital and all our teams are delighted to win this award.
