When Mr Malik wanted to find a wife, he turned to Out-of-Home advertising as the medium that could take his message of love to the streets.

When Mr Malik wanted to find a wife, he turned to Out-of-Home advertising as the medium that could take his message of love to the streets, reaching the public through billboards in Manchester and Birmingham to find a potential bride. This campaign for the start-up dating app Muzmatch was booked through our Business Growth team by Weird Lime.

This campaign has received over 5000 enquiries from potential brides as well as huge interest from the public, the press and TV. In this BBC report, Mr Malik says he has been delighted at the response. Mr Malik’s billboards are part of an advertising campaign across social and OOH for Muslim dating app, Muzmatch. Using Mr Malik’s billboards Muzmatch aimed to raise awareness UK-wide of their new dating app as well as to direct hopeful matches to their website.

Despite the huge response, Mr Malik’s hunt for a bride is ongoing and the multi-channel campaign will run throughout January across Out-of-Home and Social channels. As we know from JCDecaux’s ‘Primed and Ready for the Cookieless future’ insight, Outdoor primes the effect on social channels, making potential brides more likely to respond when they see the ad on mobiles - having seen Mr Malik’s romantic message on a billboard first.

Mr Malik says that while he is still open to an arranged marriage, he emphasises how he feels his luck is now finally changing thanks to the public response to his very public campaign. Before turning to Out-of-Home, Malik had tried dating apps and the more traditional route of suggestions for potential wives from his family.

I'm Pakistani Desi, so the first thing we're told is about is the power of the aunties.  But this method didn't work out. Muhammad Malik

He also adds that his ideal partner would as he describes share his family's humour and as he states:

Keep up with the bants. Muhammad Malik

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, we hope that Mr Malik finds love and happiness and are wishing him every success in his quest.
