On Wednesday (5th October), JCDecaux UK employees put on their best lycra and worked up a sweat in the Sale Place office for this year’s ‘Ride Adland’ competition.
The competition consisted of 24 teams across London’s adland – all racing for glory in two online races: the Fun Race (sponsored by Metro) in the morning (for two hours) and then the Epic Race in the afternoon (a whopping four hours).
Each race was a relay and team members divided the distance up between themselves. JCDecaux were competing against the following companies:
Kinetic, MediaCom, Metro, Posterscope, Snapchat, Starcom, Time Inc., Trinity Mirror, Videology, WEVE, Yahoo!, Xad, adam&eveDDB, AMV BBDO, Bauer Media, BBH, Clear Channel, Dentsu Aegis Network, ESI Media, Fold7, Google, GroupM, ITV.
The JCDecaux Teams
Alan Higginson, Philip Carr, Stephen Liasis, Laura Bracher, Ali Sudder, Honey Jamie, Sarah Mead, Sophie Williams, Rachelle Heath, Lara Fordham.
Julia Lees, Danny Hayward, Francesca Sanderson, Geoffrey Seymour, Moses Kasibante, Kevin Goodchild, Ben Maher, Laura Tanner, Laurie West, Brian Ford.
A big congratulations to Google who won the Fun Race and Dentsu Aegis Network who won the Epic Race. Both of JCDecaux's teams finished in 13th place out of 24 teams. The Fun Race team cycled 38.76 miles while the Epic Race team cycled 90.6 miles - a combined effort of 129.36 miles! A huge well done to all those who took part!
