May 17th marks Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day and Nerve Tumours UK is raising awareness across rail hubs UK-wide

Did you know that there are over 26,500 plus people diagnosed in the UK with neurofibromatosis? May 17 is WorldNeurofibromatosis Awareness Day and the charity Nerve Tumours UK is taking to Rail hubs UK-wide in a digital Out-of-Home campaign to raise awareness and highlight the support of the neurofibromatosis community as the charity celebrates its 40th anniversary. In addition to the month-long digital campaign, on 17 May, iconic buildings and landmarks are also lighting up blue in support! To find out more click here.

Neurofibromatosis is one of the most common neuro-genetic conditions that causes tumours to grow on nerve endings. Nerve Tumours UK was founded 40 years ago, when two mothers of children with neurofibromatosis joined forces, creating a valuable support network amongst families living with the condition and are the leading voice for people living with neurofibromatosis.

We have purposely launched the campaign at rail hubs, where footfall will allow maximum impact, enabling us to spread the message far and wide. Not only do we need to raise the profile of neurofibromatosis amongst medical professionals, but we also need to let the public know that we are here to help, and about the support services that we can offer for both children and adults, who are diagnosed with the condition.
