The initiative returns for its second year to celebrate Black entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Fundably, Myomaster and Wellahealth have won a joint initiative between the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund and JCDecaux UK. Following its previous success, the initiative returns for the second year, awarding innovative Black entrepreneurs the prize of Out-of-Home media funded by JCDecaux UK, with additional support provided for campaign planning, targeting and delivery to ensure each campaign is impactful and effective.

Fundably        Fundably is a fintech startup that is broadening access to business finance for UK SMEs by simplifying the process of securing a business loan.

Myomaster:     Myomaster offers a range of sports recovery products and educational content designed to help athletes elevate their performance.

Wellahealth:   Wellahealth is a HealthTech platform that enables people in the UK to easily set up health insurance and healthcare services for their families in Nigeria.

The winners were selected from UK-based recipients of the Black Founders Fund by Google for Startups.

It’s great to see this joint initiative return for its second year. The Reach programme was created to open-up access to OOH for diverse-owned businesses to scale and grow, helping them communicate with their target audience using the power of the public screen. Last year’s winners used our data-driven planning tools to deliver fantastic results, and I look forward to working with Fundably, Myomaster, and Wellahealth to help them drive awareness and build brand fame with OOH.

Programme Lead forJCDecaux UK Reach

We’re thrilled to be working with JCDecaux UK again to enable these innovative startups to share their stories, build their brands and better connect with their customers as they scale. The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund was launched to address severe inequalities in VC funding and give Black-led startups an equal chance of achieving success and accelerating economic growth. Partnerships like this are key to driving change and we can't wait to see the positive impact that this year’s programme has on the selected startups.

The $4 million Google for Startups Black Founders Fund is awarded to Black-led tech startups to help tackle racial inequality of venture capital funding. The fund provides businesses with up to $100,000 in non-dilutive cash awards. The founders also take part in Google’s acceleration programme that includes leadership training, workshops, mentoring and access to a community of fellow founders.

Previous winners, Boxx, Foodlama, Ruka, and Sojo, worked with JCDecaux UK to launch OOH campaigns across the UK, delivering impressive results for each brand including significant increases in conversion, brand trust and brand awareness.
