Art Everywhere is currently working in partnership with JCDecaux and other outdoor companies to stage the “largest exhibition of its kind across the world”.
In a media first, the campaign will hit the streets of the UK from the 10th to the 25th of August, displaying a final 50 of Britain’s greatest artists and transforming tens of thousands of billboards and poster sites.
The project to “be moved, be inspired, be surprised and get smiling” is founded by Richard Reed, co-founder of Innocent Drinks, in collaboration with the Art Fund, Tate, and the poster industry, and is greatly supported by leading artists such as Damien Hirst and Patrick Brill, aka Bob and Roberta Smith.
The public are invited to both donate to the project and to help create the world’s largest art show at www.arteverywhere.org.uk. The public, likewise, will be able to interact with the posters during the live exhibition this summer, using an app on their phone.
