This November, JCDecaux Community Channel is proud to support the next chapter of the ‘Be Hope’ campaign - “Be Hope End AIDS”, created by Project Everyone in partnership with the ONE Campaign and STOP AIDS.
As world leaders prepare to unveil their renewed commitments to the Global Fund, one of the world’s largest multilateral funders of the fight against AIDS, the campaign is a powerful reminder that ending AIDS is possible, but only with decisive global action.
The Global Fund has already saved 70 million lives and continues to play a vital role in combating HIV, tuberculosis and malaria worldwide. With renewed investment, it could save 23 million more lives and prevent 400 million new infections.
At the heart of the campaign is a new artwork by Yinka Ilori. Appearing on digital billboards and Communication Hubs across the UK, the design features the red ribbons of the AIDS movement, creating a powerful symbol of possibility and collective action.
Yinka IloriThe artwork serves as a reminder that the fight against AIDS is ongoing and that everyone has a role to play. While people have been fighting their personal battles, it is ultimately a global responsibility. We have the right tools to unite in solidarity, persevere, and bring an end to it. The padlock serves as a metaphor: AIDS should be securely locked away, with the key discarded, symbolising both determination and resilience.
Through this collaboration, the JCDecaux Community Channel continues to use the power of the public screen for good, shining a light on the urgent need for hope, investment and collective action to end AIDS for good.
