Fewer than one in 10 (8%) Brits believe they will see a world free from hunger.

JCDecaux Community Channel is proud to support The Hunger Project UK to raise awareness and engagement around sustainable eating ahead of World Hunger Day on 28th May.

Only 8% of UK adults believe they’ll see the end of hunger in their lifetime, according to new research by the charity.

Despite producing enough food to feed everyone, more than 800 million people still go hungry every day. This hasn’t gone unnoticed, with seven in 10 (69%) of respondents agreeing the world is currently in a global food crisis.

On Sunday 28 May, the charity aims to unite people, organisations, Governments and brands alike, to champion sustainable eating, invest in local food systems and connect the food on our table with our global community.

Hunger is the world's greatest solvable problem. Unlike many big global issues, ending persistent, chronic hunger globally is possible. And our generation has the power to end it once and for all. Rebecca Burgess The Hunger Project UK CEO
