Multi-format campaign designed to reach a greater number of potential supporters, and those in need of YoungMinds’ services, at a key time for Mental Health support.

Following the huge success of YoungMinds’ 2021 #HelloYellow awareness and fund-raising campaign, the charity has returned to the Public Screen, working with JCDecaux to encourage thousands across the UK to take part in #HelloYellow by wearing yellow on 10th October’s World Mental Health Day, and donating to YoungMinds to create a brighter future for young people’s mental health.

The campaign, on JCDecaux Rail and Roadside channels, ran different messaging in the run-up to World Mental Health Day on 10th October, and on the day itself, to ensure consistent relevance and deliver a powerful call to action.

The number of young people in need of mental health support is growing faster than ever – and most aren’t getting the help they need. This has to change. Working with JCDecaux enables us to encourage a greater number of supporters to take part in #HelloYellow and raise vital funds for young people’s mental health. Wearing yellow is one small thing we can all do to show our solidarity with young people and by raising vital funds for YoungMinds, we can make real change for young people's mental health. Our work with JCDecaux enables us to show meaningful content to as many as possible in the run-up to World Mental Health Day, and on the day itself, showing young people how they feel matters and they deserve to feel supported. Out-of-Home’s Public Screen has the power to reach substantial audiences at multiple touchpoints, which for a message such as YoungMinds’, is critically important. We are proud to have YoungMinds’ message on our media channels, helping the charity cut through in the run-up to World Mental Health Day, and on the day itself, to raise awareness, drive donations and increase reach of young people who may be in need of their services, showing that the charity is there for them. Mark Bucknell Chief Commercial Officer, JCDecaux UK

YoungMinds is leading the movement to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

The charity provides young people with tools to look after their mental health, empowering adults to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives, and amplifying young voices to change the world we live in.
