Centrepoint, the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people, deployed an experiential advertising campaign with JCDecauxLive in London’s Canary Wharf to promote this November’s ‘Sleep Out’ on 7th November.
Centrepoint created an outdoor bedroom in Canary Wharf, inviting people to ‘Sleep on the streets to help keep others off them’.
Nicholas Connolly, Head of Corporate Development at Centrepoint, said: “Sleep Out gives just a glimpse of what it’s like to spend a night on the cold streets of London – something too many young people still face every night. We hoped the sight of a giant bed in the heart of the City would inspire the business community to trade the comfort of theirs to ensure a young person never has to sleep rough again."
“The collaboration between JCDecaux and Ogilvy gave us the chance to raise awareness of ‘Sleep Out' West India Quay, a sister event to Centrepoint’s long-standing ‘Sleep Out’ in Exchange Square, Broadgate. Thanks to their help, people have responded. But we still need teams to come forward and join us in November. With their help Centrepoint can not only give young people a safe place to stay, but the support to leave homelessness behind.”
The campaign with JCDecauxLive was planned and booked by Ogilvy & Mather.
