28 April marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2023, an annual international campaign to promote safe and healthy working environments aimed at reducing occupational accidents.  Backed by the UN, creating a strong health and safety culture can help reduce the number of work-related injuries as well as raising colleagues' awareness outside work.

Our exemplary health and safety record is a key part of our sustainability credentials, forming part of our ESG roadmap for 2030. We've already got quite a pedigree when it comes to health and safety; we reduced accident frequency by 35% compared to 2019, we have achieved nine years (so far) of successful ISO accreditation for health, safety and quality and we have been recognised for 19 years of continued health and safety excellence by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Good safety performance is at the heart of everything we do. On World Day for Safety and Health at Work we’re proud to share our continuing commitment to exemplary health and safety. As our RoSPA award shows, we have been recognised for over 19 years of health and safety excellence and we’re proud to have ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 showing we meet the highest standards throughout our UK business in terms of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality thresholds. Roy McGraa Director of HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality)
