JCDecaux UK's Manchester Team has welcomed an all new electric van fleet to support our operations in this key city.

JCDecaux's Manchester team has welcomed an all new electric van fleet to support our operations in this key city, another proof-point of our mission to reduce our impact and to help our partners and clients meet their sustainability goals.

With around half of all vehicles on the road globally being operated by businesses, we can all play our part when it comes to reducing our impacts.

Our UK electric vehicle transition started as far back as 2010. The UK fleet is now comprised of over 65 zero-emission vehicles. A further 70 electric vans will be delivered in 2024, and the final batch of 40 electric vans will be delivered in 2025. The company is currently on target to reach 100% electrification of our van fleet by the end of 2025.

The Manchester team unveil their new electric fleet. The new zero-emission fleet consists of 6 Ford e-Transits, 12 Nissan Townstar vans and 4 Peugeot Partner vans.
The UK’s transition to electric vehicles is a key component in the race to net zero and JCDecaux UK's efforts to reduce energy consumption in the Out-of-Home advertising industry means we play a key role in facilitating this. It’s for this reason that we are determined to lead by example in electrifying our own fleet and to act as trailblazers and champions for the wider uptake of EVs amongst the communities we operate, so that we can build a more sustainable future together. Fred Joseph UK Fleet Manager at JCDecaux

In recent years JCDecaux UK has also worked to support electric vehicle uptake amongst our teams by providing charging facilities at our premises and by launching a salary sacrifice scheme for electric vehicles as a benefit for our people.

At JCDecaux UK we’re committed to being a responsible business and choosing to care in everything we do. Our commitment to net zero starts with our own operations and decarbonising our electric fleet is crucial in ensuring we can make significant strides in reducing our own carbon emissions.
