O2 deployed its latest International SIM marketing campaign with JCDecaux Airport at Heathrow, featuring specifically commissioned pieces of art created by artists from India, Poland and Romania.

The O2 International SIM allows calls to be made from the UK to a range of countries from 1p a minute, including mobiles. Targeting passengers who have touched down in the UK and are waiting in Baggage Reclaim, the campaign ran across digital Carousal Airport Panels for 4 weeks across Heathrow terminals 1, 3 and 4, reaching an audience of around 1.7 passengers.

Each unique piece of artwork will appear throughout the UK in Outdoor, press and digital media. Each design is inspired by the cultural references of the artists’ native country, and features icons and patterns that represent a particular culture.

Phil Maple, General Manager Consumer for O2 in the UK, said: “We’re proud to be able to work with such a diverse range of artists to create individual art for the countries our customers love to call. Our International SIM helps our customers stay connected to their friends and loved ones in their native country and we wanted to bring out the essence of each culture in this campaign.”

The campaign was planned and booked with JCDecaux Airport by Zenith and PSI.
