JCDecaux, the world’s largest Outdoor advertising company, added seven new premium 6-sheet panels across the pedestrian shopping area of Newcastle city centre.
The panels are live across the central shopping area of Newcastle city centre outside premium shopping destinations including intu Eldon Square and Northumberland Street.
According to YouGov, Newcastle’s shopping community consists of largely young and affluent shoppers* who are twice as likely as average UK adults to see Out-of-Home advertising several times a week. Previously voted by The Guardian as the best city in the UK, Newcastle has an annual retail spend of £832 million. It is ranked 13th in CACI’s UK Retail Destinations.
The new panels further strengthen JCDecaux’s portfolio in premium retail areas across the UK, and follows the continuing roll-out of digital screens across the retail areas of London.
Spencer Berwin, Co-CEO JCDecaux said: “Newcastle city centre is a great shopping location which draws in millions. The new panels’ locations have been handpicked and are in key premium and high end areas, making them an essential for brands who are looking to target an affluent emerging audience with money to spend.”
