StreetTalk wins Media Brand of the Year at CIM Awards
18 February 2010
February 18 2010 At last night’s prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards, JCDecaux’s StreetTalk took the award for Media Brand of the Year, beating a shortlist that included Channel 4 and Future Publishing.
The Judges were impressed by the phenomenal success of StreetTalk after JCDecaux took over the BT phonebox advertising contract in 2007. JCDecaux repositioned the phonebox as an advertising medium of relevance to younger audiences, a sought-after and hard-to-reach demographic.
StreetTalk has proved a huge success with clients. James Mercer Senior Marketing Manager, KFC said: “We like JCDecaux’s proactive approach. This year they have continued to push the boundaries of our long-term network of proximity StreetTalks, with groundbreaking innovations that make the medium work much harder for KFC.”
Today with an advertiser count up 23% Year on Year, StreetTalk has become the brand of choice for clients wanting to reach the youth audience with advertisers including youth films, fast food, soft drinks, mobile phones, online and fashion brands. StreetTalk continues to go from strength to strength, providing high-street proximity and a last-minute point-of-nudge for brands that need on-street presence.
