This month, JCDecaux took part in Mindshare’s fourth annual future-facing Huddle festival in the agency’s central London office.
This year’s theme was all about harnessing the power of ‘good’, so JCDecaux set up several sessions that explored three key issues around improving our environment.
The first of the two main sessions was entitled ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ which saw JCDecaux’s Oceane Chave and Stacey Knight, alongside boutique honey beer company ‘Hiver Beers’, explore what we know about the little insect that powers our ecosystem and how unique companies like themselves are helping.
The second session that took place in the afternoon called ‘London… Born to Be Wild’ saw Lauren Baines, Rob Arrowsmith and Myrto Koutsia alongside specialist plant and environment collectives ‘The Edible Bus Stop’ and ‘Folia Europe’ explore the impact of growing urbanisation in cities and how we can contribute to making city lives healthier and greener.
Also running throughout the day was JCDecaux’s 'Naked Gardeners’ workshop with Danny Hayward and Andrew Harris who were teaching Huddler’s about the benefits indoor plants can have on our lives (increasing productivity, helping with sleep, purifying toxins etc.). Attendees were invited to a hands-on workshop where they could plant their very own seeds which they could then take home with them! Over 120 people went away with their own seeds – what a better way to leave a lasting, sustainable impression.
