JCDecaux today announces details of its further street furniture installation, following a number of contract wins in cities across the UK.
Most of the first wave of work will take place in Southampton and Wolverhampton, where the company recently won the street furniture contracts. The company is also improving sites in vital London locations.
In the first Southampton phase, JCDecaux will install a total of 90 advertising opportunities on 30 Scrolling units across the city. These will be built over the next 6 months, with the programme commencing in the city centre and moving out into the suburbs.
In Wolverhampton, the company will initially install 40 panels in the city centre, including two of its distinctive advertising columns. Through JCDecaux's unique relationship with key designers and architects, the council was able to choose the street furniture design that best complemented the character of the historical city centre.
In London, the installation of 100 new panels will considerably strengthen JCDecaux's presence across the capital, bringing its total London portfolio to nearly 3500 panels. In Lambeth, the company has installed 20 freestanding Scrolling units, providing a total of 60 new advertising opportunities in the borough. The company has also added 50% more units in Bexley, and another 20 panels in Havering.
Karen Smith, JCDecaux's Head of City Relations, said: The installation programme further strengthens our network of street furniture in the UK's leading cities, and shows we are committed to improving our network, both for advertisers and for the city councils for whom we provide a service. Our range of street furniture plus proven expertise and experience make the company's proposition an attractive one for city councils, and is reflected in all our recent contract wins.
