E.ON introduces E.ON Business Easy Green
07 November 2007
November 2007, E.ON, one of the UK's leading electricity and gas companies, will be launching a national outdoor campaign in November urging businesses to switch to E.ON Business EasyGreen and ‘Let the power of nature into your business’.
Part of a multi-media campaign using TV, press, outdoor and radio to reach small and medium sized businesses, E.ON’s outdoor media element with ipm will build awareness nationally using large format 48 and 96 sheets. In key regions, special build sites through JCDecaux’s Innovate division will see 2D wallabies leaping across the poster, while banners supplied by BlowUp will bring the campaign to life with animal characters dominating the creative. The campaign is designed to make potential business customers aware of E.ON’s EasyGreen, a new green energy product for businesses which offers 100% renewable electricity which the company launched recently.
EasyGreen provides businesses with renewable and offset electricity solely from wind farms and hydro power stations, with a Climate Change Levy Exemption certificate. E.ON will match every unit of electricity used by EasyGreen customers with one supplied to the National Grid from a renewable source. In addition, E.ON will offset the carbon emissions generated from the electricity used through a partnership with Climate Care. Peter Haigh, B2B Director of E.ON's Retail business, said: "More and more companies now want to buy electricity that is generated in a more environmentally friendly manner. By providing renewable and offset energy, EasyGreen offers our business customers the chance to buy green electricity and so reduce their company's impact on the environment." Media was planned by Max Lucas at Initiative with the outdoor element planned by Nadia Di Vuono at ipm.
