Street Furniture

World leader in the design, supply and maintenance of street furniture

JCDecaux pioneered the street furniture concept over 40 years ago. Bus Shelters were designed and installed free of charge in exchange for the right to display commercial advertising on them. Since then JCDecaux has become the world leader in this market currently working with over 1,500 cities in 36 countries.

JCDecaux works closely with local authorities to provide tailored street furniture solutions enhancing the street environment. The system of maintaining street furniture via advertising revenue helps local authorities provide a state-of-the-art public service at no cost to the public. JCDecaux works with internationally renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, Lord Norman Foster and Jean-Michel Wilmote to develop complete ranges of street furniture to complement a city's architecture.

Our Street Furniture is manufactured using only the highest quality materials and our extensive range includes bus shelters, information panels, benches, street lighting and litter bins.

"JCDecaux have installed in the order of 3,600 shelters in Greater Manchester maintenance and cleaning standards have been widely admired both by the public and Elected Members. We, as an Executive, continue to be impressed by the commitment of JCDecaux to the Greater Manchester contract and to the public of Greater Manchester"

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive

"The standard of bus shelter, advert panel and display column equipment provided is excellent, and a steep change in quality to previous furniture. The ability of the bus shelters to be fully compliant with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, offer protection to users, expansive passenger information facilities and make a positive contribution to Plymouth's streetscape is much appreciated... the local JCDecaux team from Jon Hunt to the frontline staff who clean the shelters and change the adverts are excellent. My staff have a superb day to day relationship with the team, and their quality of maintenance and speed of response to problems is impressive"
