LOCATE THAT LANDMARK PRIZE COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Section 1

Promoter: JCDecaux, 27 Sale Place, London W2 1YR. The Competition will be administered on behalf of the Promoter by Prize Shark Limited of No. 4 Downlands, Harrietsham, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 1LE

1.The Terms and Conditions below apply to the Locate that Landmark 2016 Competition (the ‘Competition’).  By submitting an entry, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

2.This Competition is only open to employees of UK media agencies, UK outdoor specialist or creative agencies, excluding but not limited to, media owners, members of the general public, employees of the Promoter, Prize Shark Limited and YouGov or their families and the previous winner/s of ‘Locate that Landmark’ agency competition.  Entrants must be residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over. You may enter as many times as you wish. 

3.The Competition shall open at 10:30 on Friday 06 May 2016 and close at 17:30 on Friday 06 May 2016 (the "Promotional Period").  Only entries submitted during the Promotional Period and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions shall be valid for entry.

4.To enter: You must complete all of the following steps during the Promotional Period to record an entry in the Promotion (an ‘Entry’):

a.Play the Locate that Landmark Agency game (locatethatlandmark.com/?agency=1) by identifying landmarks on a map of Great Britain against the clock.  You will receive points for the number of landmarks correctly identified before time runs out.

b.Upload your final score and complete your profile with your real name and agency name which will be displayed on the leaderboards.  Entries submitted using an offensive or rude pseudonym will be disqualified.

c.High scores will be recorded on a "Daily" and "All-Time" leaderboard.  The highest score displayed on the Daily leaderboard at the end of the Promotional Period will win the prize.

5.By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your Entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect. The Promoter reserves the right to verify any information contained in your Entry and/or your eligibility to enter the Competition.

6.The winner will be the entrant recording the highest score on the ‘Daily’ leaderboard at the end of the Promotional Period. In the event that there is more than one entry on the same score tied for 1st place on the leader board at the end of the Promotional Period, the entrant submitting that score first will be deemed the winner.

7.There is one prize to be won, consisting of a trip for 2 to London, including the following:

a.Thames sightseeing cruise and entry to The London Eye for two people

b.overnight (1 night) stay at The Amba Hotel – Charing Cross (4*), double/twin room, breakfast for two people included;

c.dinner at Boyds Grill & Wine  Bar (up to £100); and 

d.£50 towards travel expenses. Full prize details and terms are set out in Section 2 below.

8.The result of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into, except with the winner.  The prizewinner will be notified by email/phone using their name and agency details submitted when entering their Competition score on the leaderboard or using the details emailed to beframeus@jdecaux.co.uk Notification will take place within 7 days of the prize draw.  The Promoter is not responsible in the event that it is unable to contact the winner as a result of them having registered inaccurate or incomplete details when taking part in the competition.

9.The prize London trip must be taken before 31 May 2017 (bank holiday periods are excluded).  Travel on the winner's preferred date is subject to availability of all elements making up the trip to London.  The winner's guest on the London trip must be aged 18 or over.

10.The prize is as stated, is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.  The Promoter reserves the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, in the event that the advertised prize (or any part of it) is unavailable for any reason.

11.The name of the prizewinner will be available for a period of two months from the prize draw date by sending an SAE to “Landmark Winner, Marketing Dept, JCDecaux, 27 Sale Place, W2 1YR” after 9 May 2016.

12.In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact the winner within 7 days of the prize draw, or the winner is disqualified for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from all remaining entries, with the originally selected winner forfeiting their right to the prize.

13.The winner and his/her guest agree to comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the issue of the prize, including confirming acceptance of the prize in accordance with the instructions provided at the time of notification as the winner.

14.The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name of the winner and his/her agency in marketing materials, including e-marketing material.  The prizewinner unconditionally agrees (as a condition of accepting any prize) to:

a.the use of their name and employer name.

b.co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-Competition publicity.

15.Proof of submitting an entry is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.  The Promoter is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered on the leadership board for any technical or other reason whatsoever.

16.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury (other than our liability for personal injury or death as a result of our negligence) or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant in entering the Competition, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning the prize.

17.The Promoter reserves the right to amend or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

18.The Promoter reserves the right to verify the winner's details before awarding the prize.

19.The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions.  Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with these terms and conditions could lead to the Promoter disqualifying that person, without the Promoter giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.

20.The Promoter will use any personal information that you provide with your Entry for the purposes of the Competition and, where you have given your consent, for marketing purposes including the distribution of regular email updates or newsletters. Any personal information relating to entrants will be used solely by us in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

21.The rules of this promotion are subject to the legal and regulatory restrictions imposed under English law and the parties to any dispute or action shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

Section 2

London Trip for 2 – Thames Sightseeing Cruise and entry to The London Eye, overnight stay at The Amba Hotel, Dinner at Boyds Bar & Grill, £50 Travel expenses

The prize of a trip for 2 to London includes the following elements:

£50 towards travel expenses will be paid directly to the winner in the form of a cheque.

Boyds Bar & Grill

A pre-payment of £100 will be made in advance of your reservation, any additional spend including a gratuity is at the expense of the winner.

Amba Hotel, Charing Cross

1 night's stay in a twin or double room, breakfast is included

Standard double/twin room includes unlimited, fast free wi-fi, complimentary soft drink and snacks mini-bar, Nespresso® coffee machine, Smart TV and an in-room tablet.

Thames Sightseeing Cruise and The London Eye

Please note: Attraction tickets must first be collected from Westminster Pier (SW1A 2JH), Tower Pier (EC3N 4DT) or Greenwich Pier (SE10 9HT). You will not be able to enter the attraction without your tickets!

Sightseeing cruises depart every 30 minutes from piers at Westminster, London Eye, Tower and Greenwich. We also run circular cruises from Tower and Bankside pier.
