Chinese tourists are incredibly valuable to the UK economy, with the average visitor spending £1,600 whilst in the UK. Heathrow delivers 100% of the direct Chinese flights between the UK and China.
JCDA partnered with WEI Consulting to survey respondents about their time in the UK – including demographic profile, consumption, and media engagement preferences.
The findings concluded that airport advertising is a key retail touchpoint and the main media environment for noticing luxury advertising. Interestingly 61% of respondents intend to spend at least half of their annual luxury spend in the UK.
